I’m Jay Hynes, a portrait photographer and two-time National Photographic Portrait Prize finalist.
I love taking photos of people. Honestly, I’m mad for it. Most of my commercial and conceptual work to date has centred around people, and I love capturing faces, personalities and the stories behind them.
One of my favourite portraits is of my parents giggling together. I love it because it captures their true essence — just them, a couple in love.
Jay’s Portrait Days are my chance to create moments like this for individuals, couples and families. There are no cheesy smiles or forced poses. We’ll have a chat, have a laugh and take some great photos along the way.
